What are the Field Chronicles?

Hunting · Fishing · Foraging · Wild Game Cooking · Conservation

The Field Chronicles are finally the result of my decision to make my personal field notes public. People tend to gravitate toward writing when it covers days in the wild.

The journal entries you’ll find here are true field notes. Temperatures, locations, wildlife seen, and other notes will accompany photos and narratives from time spent outside of walls.

In addition to the journal entries, you’ll likely find unaltered, unfiltered, and unsponsored musings on anything ranging from DIY elk hunting to controversial wildlife management policies and everything in between. Recipes, homestead life, changing tires, and putting out fires might wander into the mix.

Who knows? You might even find a guest author or two.

Why subscribe?

Essentially, subscribing gives you access to real-time field notes and gives us the ability to keep it going.

How’s that for content not nearly as exciting as an OF? The ‘only fans’ you’ll find here are on turkey tails.

This is the inside look at days in the woods, fields, and waters. Subscribe to get full access to all of the field journals, recipes, and the entire publication archives.

The small subscription fee will help to continue the writing, documenting, and chronicling the stories and experiences that make our lifestyle worth living.
